Lorac Dewy Canvas Prep Moisturizer + Primer
–Claims :: Not sticky; lightweight; can be used as a primer or moisturizer; makes the skin soft, supply, & dewy; nourish & prep
–Price :: $37 at Ulta, Amazon
–Pros :: Ingredients–shea butter, glycerin, squalane; dewy finish; hydrating; vegan; non-comedogenic; cruelty free; love the gel formulation; agree with all claims; love the dewy, radiant finish
–Cons :: Availability; bulky packaging
–Final Thoughts :: Online only; this is just a moisturizer, there’s nothing special to make it a primer/extend wear of makeup; don’t need this for almost $40, just use the moisturizer you already have; not a bad product, just not necessary

MAC Studio Radiance Moisturizing + Illuminating Silky Primer
–Claims :: Immediate and lasting radiance & moisture; all-day soothing hydration; prep skin for smooth makeup application; for all skin types
–Price :: $34 at Ulta, Nordstrom
–Pros :: Ingredients–hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, Vitamin E, olive oil; non-acnegenic; packaging, pump!; smoothing; hydrating; radiant finish; makeup blended so easily on top; agree with all claims
–Cons :: Price; not cruelty free; scented; availability
–Final Thoughts :: Scent doesn’t bother me, I think it smells good! However, I know some are sensitive to fragrance so I wanted to mention it; does everything it claims; smoothing, but didn’t blur my pores (doesn’t claim to); creates the perfect smooth base for makeup application; love all of the hydrating ingredients

elf Power Grip Primer
–Claims :: Gel-based formula grips makeup; soft-focus effect; moisturizes, preps, and smoothes; for all skin types
–Price :: $5 mini at elf; $10 full size at Target, Ulta, elf; $8 at WalMart
–Pros :: Full size packaging has a pump, which I love; cruelty free; vegan; mini fro travel/testing; hyaluronic acid; gripping but not sticky or overly tacky; agree with all claims; creates perfect base for makeup; for all skin types; easily accessible
–Cons :: Mini size is only available on elf’s site
–Final Thoughts :: Dupe for the viral/famous Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer. I didn’t like that one, it was too sticky, this one is MUCH better; does everything it claims; makeup goes over it perfectly; totally worth the hype; will work for all skin types

No7 Airbrush Away Primer
–Claims :: Pores and fine lines disappear; smooth and even skin all day; makeup looks smooth and flawless from day to night; creates a perfect base for effortless application of makeup
–Price :: $19.99 at Walgreens; $19 at Amazon
–Pros :: Contains hyaluronic acid; smoothing; perfect base for makeup
–Cons :: Availability; price; not very blurring
–Final Thoughts :: I got this at TJ Maxx for $5; love that is has a more lotion texture/feel and not straight up silicone; more smoothing than blurring, but my pores are huge so I wasn’t expecting much there; I wouldn’t pay $20 for it, you can get the same effect with cheaper products, but I do like it.

Tarte Face Tape Smoothing
–Claims :: 3-in-1 smooth, blur, hydrate; extends wear of foundation for up to 12 hours; improves appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
–Price :: $16 mini & $32 full size at Ulta, Tarte
–Pros :: Mini for travel/testing; packaging, pump!; vegan; cruelty free; little goes a long way; smoothing; blurring; agree with all claims; doesn’t feel super silicone-y like a lot of smoothing/blurring primers do which I appreciate
–Cons :: Availability; price
–Final Thoughts :: Foundation applied easily on top; creates a perfect, smooth base; mini is online only at Ulta; does a better job of smoothing and blurring than No7; blurred my giant pores; didn’t notice that it was hydrating, but I hydrate with primer spray first so that’s not an issue for me

Maybelline Sky High Tinted Primer Mascara
–Claims :: Serum-infused base; clump resistant; longer, thicker lashes; nourishes lashes to prep for perfect mascara application; volumize and extend every lash from root to tip
–Price :: $9.99 at Target, WalMart, Amazon; $12.99 at Ulta
–Shade Range :: 1, Soft Black
–Pros :: Tinted–amplifies mascara pigment; lash loving ingredients; adds volume; builds without clumping; lengthens; separates; easily accessible; doesn’t cause any flaking/fall out
–Cons :: Not cruelty free
–Final Thoughts :: Love that it’s tinted as most mascara primers are usually white; mascara primer makes such a difference and I don’t know why more people don’t use it; my lashes look longer, fuller, and more voluminous; loved the Sky High Mascara so not surprised I love this; not sure I love this as much as the KVD Epic Curl, but it’s good and easier for me to buy than the KVD; highly recommend
