–Pros :: Cruelty free; shade range; cute packaging; no flashback; sets foundation without caking; smoothing; flawless finish; not too mattifying, works on my dry skin; agree with all claims
–Cons :: Price; availability; contains talc
–Final Thoughts :: I totally get the hype around this powder; it does everything it claims; gave a smooth, flawless finish; dry skin friendly; not cakey; I tried with several different foundations and I had good results with all of them

Jaclyn Cosmetics Powder Move
–Claims :: Blurs & smooths while setting makeup; soft-focus finish with subtle radiance; blends easily; high pigment coverage; good-for-skin ingredients like squalane, aloe, and amino acid
–Price :: $30 at Ulta, Jaclyn Cosmetics
–Shade Range :: 6
–My Shade :: Sheer Fair
–Pros :: Cruelty free; LOVE the radiant finish; perfect powder for dry skin; doesn’t look cakey; no glitter/shimmer; locks makeup in place; overall flawless finish and appearance; finely milled; shade range
–Cons :: Price; availability; bulky packaging
–Final Thoughts :: I repackaged mine in one of these jars because I hate the bulky packaging. The packaging is pretty, but it takes up too much space in my drawer; this is the PERFECT powder for dry skin and it’s the powder I’ve been searching for my whole life (dramatic but true); if you tend to avoid powder because it settles, cakes, and/or clings, this one won’t do that; sets and locks makeup in place without overly mattifying the skin; I hope this is a permanent product; absolutely worth the $30; shade fair looks yellow-ish in the jar, but it doesn’t show up that way on the skin; at this time, this is the BEST powder I’ve ever tried.

elf C-Bright Putty Primer
–Claims :: Brightens & evens out skin tone while gripping makeup for all day wear; 2% Vitamin ; gives skin a natural glow; smooth, flawless complexion skin appears more revitalized, bright, and radiant
–Price :: $12 at Ulta, elf
–Pros :: Vegan; cruelty free; no parabens or phthalates; love the fusion of skincare & makeup; smoothing; bright, radiant finish; creates the perfect base for foundation; worked well with other face products
–Cons :: None
–Final Thoughts :: I didn’t like the original putty primer or the luminous putty primer and I was expecting to not like this one. The formulas I tried caused my makeup to cake and separate and didn’t really do anything for my pores. This one is different! It smoothed and brightened my skin. I love the added glow and the benefit of Vitamin C. My makeup looked flawless. This formula is the best one.

Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist

–Pros :: Vegan; cruelty free; alcohol-free; fragrance-free; no silicones, parabens, mineral oils; no shimmer or glitter; luxe, heavy glass packaging; excellent sprayer/mist; radiant finish; hydrating; help powders melt into the skin
–Cons :: Price; availability
–Final Thoughts :: I was scared this was going to be VERY dewy and almost make me look oily, but thank the Lord it didn’t. It gives a radiant finish and I LOVE it; the spritzer/mist is so fine and refreshing; no alcohol so it won’t be drying; Ulta exclusive; I think this will work for all skin types

Tarte Cheeky Claymate Face Palette
–Claims :: Effortless; natural-looking radiance; buttery-soft texture; weightless; all day wear
–Price :: $19 at Ulta, Tarte
–Pros :: Vegan; cruelty free; convenient, all-in-one palette; love the Amazonian Clay formula; affordable/fair price; sleek, compact packaging; pigmented; easy to blend; long lasting
–Cons :: Availability; won’t work for all skin tones
–Final Thoughts :: I love Tarte’s powder formula so I knew this was going to be good and it is! It’s so convenient, an all-in-one, and the compact is really thin and sleek so it doesn’t take up much space. The colors work great for my skin tone, but it definitely won’t work for everyone. The shades are all pigmented, easy to blend, and long lasting. I got this on sale for $10, but I think $19 is fair.

Burts Bees Color Nurture Cream Eye Shadow
–Claims :: Lightweight; applies smoothly; blends easily; creamy; buildable; can wear alone, layered with powder shadow, or used as a highlighter

–My Shade :: Caramel Buttercream
–Pros :: Full recyclable packaging; no parabens, phthalates; cruelty free; creamy; easy to blend; gorgeous color; buildable pigmentation; great base for powder shadows
–Cons :: Very emollient; availability; shade range
–Final Thoughts :: VERY emollient formula. If you don’t set this with a powder shadow, it’s going to crease or slide right off; very creamy and easy to blend; buildable pigmentation; love this shade, but I wish they had more shade options; Ulta exclusive; love as a base for making powder shadows pop & last all day with no creasing
