Jaclyn Cosmetics

About
–Started in 2019 by YouTuber Jaclyn Hill
–The first launch was a line of lipsticks that FLOPPED, but the launches since then have been great (in my opinion)
–Cruelty free
–Select products available at Ulta and Morphe retailers
–All products available at jaclyncosmetics.com
–Some of the products have bulky packaging, but overall, I like the aesthetic
–Cons: expensive, availability –Some of these products are limited edition so they may not be available or available in all shades

Accent Highlighter
Claims—Shimmering :: creaming :: buildable :: light with every swipe
Price—$16 mini :: $29 full size
Shade Range—2 mini :: 8 full size
My Shades—Iced & Spark$
Pros—Shade range :: mini for travel/testing :: extremely metallic :: buildable
Cons—Only 2 shades in the mini :: mirror packaging gets dirty easily
Final Thoughts—The mini size will last you forever because you only need a little bit of product for a blinding look :: buildable formula :: not for those who want a subtle, natural look, but I love it.

Bronze & Blushing Duo
Claims—Blurred finish :: satin blush :: soft matte bronzer :: for every skin tone & undertone
Price—$36
Shade Range—7
My Shade—Lilac Love/Top Tan
Pros—Shade range :: buildable formula :: gives a gorgeous glow :: minimal powder kickback when you dip your brush in
Cons—Blush isn’t pigmented enough for me
Final Thoughts—Neither shade is overly pigmented, but you can build them up to get your desired look :: the blush is so light, I wish it were more pigmented :: love the 2-in-1 :: would love for her to release these shades separately

Last Act Translucent Powder
Claims—Silky-smooth :: flawless finish :: soft-blurring effect :: super fine
Price—$28
Pros—Sets makeup in place :: dry skin friendly :: agree with all claims :: add subtle, radiant glow without glitter Cons—Contains talc
Final Thoughts—This powder is PERFECT for dry skin :: sets makeup in place without caking and doesn’t give a flat matte finish :: Talc doesn’t bother me, but I know some are sensitive to it :: I would love for her to release this in a loose power :: I’m not sure how well this would control oil for those with oily skin types

Sun Kissed Cream Bronzer
Claims—Buildable coverage :: cream-to-powder formula :: soft focus effect :: second skin effect
Price—$26-29
Shade Range—5
My Shade—Nakey
Pros—Packaging :: only need a small amount of product :: blends easily :: buildable formula :: lasts all day
Cons—Shade range
Final Thoughts—No deep shades for those with darker complexions :: this product will last you forever because a little bit goes a long way :: shade is very warm :: lasted all day with no fading

Beaming Light Liquid Highlighter
Claims—Packed with luminosity :: wear on its own or add to your favorite primer or foundation
Price—$21-24
Shade Range—3
My Shade—Lightning
Pros—GORGEOUS glow :: very intense with a little bit of product :: perfect shade for my fair skin :: easy to blend Cons—None
Final Thoughts—There are only 3 shades, but I think these 3 will work for all skin tone, fair to deep :: not for those who like a subtle glow, this is intense and I love it :: easy to blend and melts into the skin

Lip Cushion
Claims—Ultra-lightweight :: mousse-like :: blurring finish :: rich, creamy lip color :: applies like liquid lipstick with soft satin finish
Price—$18
Shade Range—5
My Shade—Lip Locked
Pros—Agree with all claims :: very light and comfortable on the lips :: creamy :: went on with ease
Cons—None
Final Thoughts—I hope she will expand the shade range :: formula isn’t drying and is very comfortable :: touched up after eating & drinking, but very impressed with the longevity :: not transfer proof. It doesn’t claim to be, but I wanted to mention it.

Bake & Brighten Under Eye Powder
Claims—Lightweight :: locks in moisture :: counteracts under eye imperfections :: sets concealer without creasing for a flawless look
Price—$29
Shade Range—5
My Shade—Lavender
Pros—Shade match for me :: brightened :: soft and finely milled formula :: under eye area looked smooth & flawless
Cons—None
Final Thoughts—Does everything it claims to and my under eye area looked FLAWLESS :: love this

Rouge Romance Cream Blush Stick
Claims—High pigment :: creamy formula :: soft matte powder finish :: effortless wash of color
Price—$22
Shade Range—4
My Shade—Empress
Pros—Pigmented :: easy to blend :: buildable :: doesn’t lift foundation
Cons—Shade range
Final Thoughts—The color looks very intimidating in the tube and it is pigmented, but it’s easy to blend out :: you only need a little bit of product for the perfect blushed look :: I applied directly to my face and it didn’t mess with my foundation. I also applied directly to a brush and blended that way. Both ways work fine.

Pout Spoken Liquid Lipstick & Lip Liner
Claims—Long-wearing :: creamy :: high pigment color :; buildable :: comfortable :: luxe matte finish
Price—$20
Shade Range—17 (2 limited edition)
My Shade—Bow
Pros—Pigmented :: long wearing :: comfortable
Cons—None
Final Thoughts—All matte liquid lipsticks are slightly drying and this one is too, but I didn’t find it to be uncomfortable :: extremely pigmented :: lightweight :: didn’t crack and crumble :: beautiful shade

Sweet Glaze Lip Lacquer
Claims—High-impact pigment :: glossy-shine finish
Price—$18
Shade Range—4
My Shade—Ginger
Pros—Love the scent :: pigmented
Cons—Shade range :: very thick formula :: sticky
Final Thoughts—I’m not usually a big gloss fan, but I wanted to try this formula since the shades were so pretty. I like the color and the scent, but the formula is very thick and sticky. Not my favorite gloss formula on the market.
