Favorite Things 2021

  1. Pilot Frixion Pens—If you’ve been reading this blog for a while or know me in real life, you know I have a pen addiction. I just feel compelled to try all of them. I like these because they come in a bunch of colors, write really well, and you can ERASE.
  2. Birdies The Starling Loafers—These are pricey, but worth every penny. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned or worn. If I were a rich girl, cue Gwen Stefani, I would have them in every style and color.
  3. PlanToPlan Planner Stickers—I’m soooo into the planner sticker life. This is my favorite shop on Etsy. There are tons of options and you can request custom designs too.
  4. Huda Beauty Legit Lashes Mascara—The best high end mascara and maybe the best mascara I’ve ever tried. If you like dramatic, bold lashes, this is for you. I reviewed it here.
  5. iPad and Accessories—I won my iPad at a work event and I am obsessed with it. I never knew I needed one, but now I can’t live without it. I’ve gone digital with my blog content planning and it’s a welcome change. I got an Apple Pencil dupe and grip, case, and keyboard on Amazon and I love them all.
  6. RCMA No Color Powder—I haven’t used this years, but I picked it up and gave it another go and now I remember why I loved it so much. It’s lightweight, doesn’t make foundation or concealer look cakey or heavy, and it’s affordable.
  7. Barrington Sunglasses Case—My sister gave this to me for Christmas last year. It’s not bulky, but my glasses are protected.
  8. Mark & Graham Elisabetta Slouch Handbag—This is definitely a splurge item, but I usually treat myself to something nice if I get a bonus at work. I chose this bag for 2020 and I regret nothing. I did have a coupon code so I didn’t pay full price, but it’s such nice quality and a bag I can have for a long time. Definitely worth it.
  9. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Serum—I got a bottle of this for free to test and I’ve bought one myself. It’s become a staple in my skincare routine. If I’m feeling lazy and skip it a few nights, I can immediately tell a difference. I don’t know that my pores look any different, but the texture of my skin has greatly improved. In fact, I hardly have any texture and my skin is so smooth.
  10. Kitsch Pillow Case—Ulta had these for half off and I got one and immediately bought another. These silk cases are SO soft and hold up well after multiple washes.
  11. BeauChien Boutqiue Pet Shirts—Tell me those aren’t the cutest shirts you’ve ever seen. I get them on Etsy and the seller is SO sweet. I’ve been buying Windsor a shirt per holiday and building his collection. They’re adorable and so is he.
  12. My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers—I could write about this book for days. Thomas Rhett recommended this on his Instagram and it.is.so.good. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me mention this a TON over the past year. This book is a daily devotional that goes January 1-December 31 and was written A LONG time ago. However, it, like the Bible, still offers lessons that are so pertinent to today. It makes me think, laugh, fills my heart with joy, and has really fueled my faith. It’s less than $10 on Amazon and I can’t say enough good things.
  13. Bow Chair—I can’t link this because my sister got it for me at Home Goods, but I love bows and it looks so cute at my manicure table.
  14. Maybelline Sky High Mascara—This mascara went viral on TikTok earlier this year and I definitely get it. It’s SO good. I did a full review of it here, but it’s my current favorite drugstore mascara. I’ve tried some newer ones (reviews coming) and so far, nothing has beat it. My lashes look a mile long with this mascara.
  15. TikTok—I avoided TikTok for so long because I thought it was too old, but I finally caved and I love it. I can get caught up and spend too much time on it, but I love the variety of content. I can watch makeup reviews, tutorials, dog videos, cooking/recipes, and more.
  16. Juvia’s Place Matte Lipstick in So Red—Y’all this is the creamiest matte formula ever. The color is gorgeous, but the formula is even better. I also have shade #2020 and I want more. I do not need more lipstick, but I want every shade.
  17. Asic Women’s Gel Excite 7 Running Shoe—Full disclaimer: I do no use these to run. I do not run ever, under any circumstances. I bought these because they were cute and I liked the colors. I still love the Hokas I mentioned last year, but I wanted a more lightweight shoe for running errands and athleisure looks. These are SO comfortable and I wear them out, to walk on the treadmill, and when I walk outside and my feet/legs/whatevers don’t hurt.
  18. Real Techniques Contour Fan Brush—I almost hate to mention this because it was limited edition and you can’t get it anymore, but it’s my favorite brush from cream bronzer/contour.
  19. Dr. Teals Sleep Spray, Foaming Bath, Body Wash, Lotion, & Soak—Do these products really help me sleep better? I don’t know. But do they smell amazing and make me like they work? Yes. Just try them, you won’t regret it.
  20. Pen Cart—See #1 as to why I have a pen cart. The cart is from Michaels and the cups are from Target.
  21. Milani Super Charged Brightening Undereye Tint—I love using this to brighten, smooth, and hydrate before going in with concealer. You only need a tiny amount and I love that I can use this with or without concealer depending on what look I’m going for that day. There are 3 shades and I wear shade 110 Pink Rose. Reviewed here.
  22. Radiate: 90 Devotions to Reflect the Heart of Jesus by Cleere Cherry Reaves—I got this as a gift and I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ve enjoyed every devotion that I’ve read. I like devotions that are short and sweet, yet provide a good message and are thought provoking. This one fits the bill and I’m definitely going to be checking out her other books when I finish this one.
  23. Moon & Lola Necklace—Getting this necklace was a process, but when I finally got it, it was perfect. My mom has a similar one that she’s worn forever and I’ve always wanted one like it.
  24. County Again Side A by Thomas Rhett—Again, if you know me or follow me on Instagram, you know I love Thomas Rhett and his family and his music and everything about all of the aforementioned. He does no wrong in my eyes and this is my favorite album yet. Check out the song, “Ya Heard”
  25. Conair Double Ceramic Curling Wand 1”—I turned 30 and finally learned how to curl my hair. Took long enough, but I’ve got it now. I like this wand because it’s affordable, cute, and does the job. I’m not very good at doing anything to my hair so I usually don’t spend much on hair tools, other than a straightener, and fortunately this was affordable and works really well. I can’t figure out a curling iron with a clamp so I’m sticking to the wand.
