Speed Reviews Volume III

Marc Jacobs Finish-Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder

Highlights–Blur & perfect :: not dry or chalky :: healthy & hydrated look :: soft-matte finish up to 8 hours :: mess-free packaging :: lightweight and creamy

Price–$44 at Sephora, marcjacobsbeauty.com

Shade Range–1 (translucent)

Cruelty Free–Yes

Pros–Packaging :: not overly mattifying :: great for dry skin

Cons–Expensive :: availability

Thoughts–I found this at TJ Maxx for $12.99! It locks makeup in place without overly mattifying the skin. I don’t know that oily skin folks would love this one as it’s more hydrating. I like this, but I don’t know that I would pay $44 for it.

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Bendy Avocado Concealer

Highlights–Buildable :: weightless :: hydrate & nourish :: never cakes, creases, cracks, or settles into fine lines

Price–$22 at Sephora, Ulta

Shade Range–11
My Shade–Ivory

Cruelty Free–Yes & vegan

Pros–Clean at Sephora product :: good ingredients :: full coverage :: blends easily :: hydrating :: agree with all claims

Cons–Shade range :: online only at Ulta :: shades lean yellow

Thoughts–I mix with a more pink toned concealer to make the shade match me better. It lives up to all of its claims and I love most all of the products from the Hello FAB line..

Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder

Highlights–Transfer-resistant :: silky-smooth matte finish for up to 14 hours :: visibly brighten skin :: lightweight & comfortable

Price–$15-34 at Sephora, toofaced.com (0.12 oz mini, 1.23 oz full size)

Shade Range–2 in the full size, 1 in the mini
My Shade–Translucent Peach

Cruelty Free–Yes (darker shade is vegan)

Pros–Mini option for testing/travel :: works for my dry to normal skin :: my face looked smooth and blurred :: locked makeup in place

Con–Expensive :: might be being discontinued (??)

Thoughts–I get why so many people love this powder. I find it to be slightly peach tinted and not truly translucent. The scent might bother some people, but it wasn’t an issue for me. I liked this, but my Fenty Butter is still my favorite. I wouldn’t buy the full size, but I did have a good makeup day when I wore it.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer

Highlights–Infused with hyaluronic acid :: natural matte :: long wear :: skin-perfecting bronzed filter for face and body

Price–$55 at Sephora, Nordstrom, charlottetilbury.com

Cruelty Free–Yes

Pros–Fair skin friendly :: huge pan :: buildable :: large, sleek compact :: refillable

Cons–Expensive AF

Thoughts–Did I need this? Yes. Just kidding, I didn’t but I reallllllyyy wanted it so here we are. I will say the pan is HUGE and it will last a long time. The shade is perfect for my fair skin and I love the buildable formula. Charlotte Tilbury is such a gem, but damn her prices.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector

Highlights–Lightweight :: full-coverage :: conceals pigmentation :: brightens the appearance of the under-eye area

Price–$32 at Sephora, Nordstrom, charlottetilbury.com

Shade Range–4
My Shade–Fair

Pros–Full-coverage :: completely covers darkness :: little goes a long way :: worked with other complexion/under-eye products :: under-eye area looked flawless
