I have 6 loose powders in my collection. One of them, Fenty Pro Filt’r in Lavender, I strictly use for the under eye area and the rest I use to set my face.
I rotate my products monthly and I’m constantly decluttering my products. If I try a product and I don’t like it, it’s gone. Rotating my products allows me to actually use all of my products and work on using them up.
I love all 5 of these powders on their own and that made me wonder how they would work mixed together. Combining 5 good products is bound to make one great product, right?
We’re about to find out!
I had a travel size Fenty Butter powder and that is my all time favorite powders so I started with it as my base. I used a small, lid-locking plastic contained to mix & store my new creation.
I mixed
—Fenty Pro Filt’r in Butter (smoothing, locks makeup in place)
—LOreal Hydra Perfecte in Translucent (hydrating)
—elf Halo Glow in Light (adds glow)
—BareMinerals Mineral Veil (airbrushed finish)
—It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores (blurring)
I attempted to use Butter as my base and equal parts of all the others. However, I have a heavy hand and that didn’t go too well. I put all the products in the container and gave it a good stir. Then, I put the lid on and gave it a good shake.
I LOVE this product and it’s my new Magic Powder. My skin doesn’t look too matte and it doesn’t cake up. It locks my foundation in place and my skin looks so smooth. I like to apply it with a damp sponge and really push the product into my skin.
Makeup is supposed to be fun and I challenge you to find fun ways to use the products you have. I love mixing different things to come up with my own combos and formulas.
