The next to last installment of skincare week is all about routines and recommendations. If you don’t have a skincare routine and don’t know how to get started, today’s post is for you. I’ve made your shopping list for you and covered all price points. You do not have to spend a fortune to get good products that will work. There are certain products that I splurge on and others that I don’t, it’s a balancing act.
These are all products that I’ve tried myself except for one that is notated.
- Makeup Remover—Pond’s Cleansing Balm, $9.99
- Cleanser—CeraVe Foaming Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin, $14.99
- Toner—Shea Moisture African Black Soap Toner, $10.99

You may think I’m crazy recommending the hydrating products for the oily skin, but skin is often oily because it’s actually dehydrated. Your body is kicking oil production into overdrive. The Hydro Boost line of products is one of my favorites. It’s hydrating enough for dry skin, but lightweight enough for oily skin.

I’m about to preach to you so listen up. If you have acne, you NEED to try this skincare line. I tried every 3 step line out there trying to find something that would work on my stubborn, cystic acne: Proactiv, Clinique, Merle Norman, Mary Kay, and other creams and potions from the dermatologist. I literally spent HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of dollars trying to find something and this is the only thing that worked. I ordered the 30 day to kit to try it out and once it was gone ordered all the full size products, used those up, and my acne has stayed away. I still get hormonal breakouts that week of the month and maybe a random zit, but nothing cystic and really painful and nothing consistently. I will sing the praises of this line all day long. It’s legit life changing, especially if you acne makes you self-conscious like mine did. I would pay insane amounts of money for these products because I know they work. I really don’t think they are a bad price for what you are getting. Sermon, over.
