  • It’s A 10 Miracle Blow Dry Styling Balm

  • Fenty Gloss Bomb + Sephora Infinite Rose

  • Anastasia Dip Brow Gel

    • This a cult classic product and I’ve never owned it till recently. I got this during the VIB Sale and I am so glad I went with the jumbo size. It is such a gorgeous blush.
    • If I’m going for a lighter look, I’ll wear this alone, and it looks great alone, but it’s so pretty used as a topper as well.
  • Jeffree Star Magic Powder
    • And another product I did a full review on. I love it and you can read more here.
  • Nailene Nail Glue
    • Game changer if you love press on nails like me. It’s cheap and it’s the best glue that I’ve found.

lip combo
This is the nude lip combo I mentioned earlier. My watch band is another favorite. I really liked the silicone bands when I first got my Apple Watch, but now I don’t know if I can go back.

IMG_0631I’ve been in my office since October and I’m finally adding a little flair to my cube. Obvi, the Friday Night Lights sign is front and center. I love the garland/whatever that holds pictures because it’s much easier to switch out these photos than it would be if they were in frames. I have some personal photos of my babeis, duh, and some prints from two of my favorite Etsy shops. Check out Pamlico Paper and Scattered Grace Design. I’m sure you’ll find something you love, but if you need something more custom, they can do that too! They are both small, local businesses and the women behind them are so sweet!

Final Thoughts
This is has been a hyped up, raved about concealer for years, but I was never able to test it because there wasn’t a shade light enough for me. Fortunately, LA Girl fixed the problem and there is an amazing shade range. The packaging freaking sucks, but I can look past it because this product is so good. I’ve been reaching for it every day, over my Shape Tape and Jeffree Star which I both love. If you haven’t tried this, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

Final Thoughts
I got a sample of this at Sephora, tested it, loved, and bought the full size. It’s a perfect, more lightweight foundation for the warmer months. I love the buildable coverage, but you’re not going to get full coverage with this one. I’ve been looking for a more medium, lightweight formula to wear this summer. Something with just enough coverage to even out my skin tone without being too heavy because it’s just going to melt off. There’s a shade match for me, it works for my dry skin, and it’s packed full of good ingredients. I can’t ask for much more!

–Matte
–Won’t crease or settle into lines
–Conceal under eye circles and darkness
–Cover up tattoos

Price
–$3.99 at Ulta, essencemakeup.com

Shade Range
–3
–My shade: 10 Light Rose

Pros
–Affordable
–Cruelty free
–Paraben free
–Smells good
–Works with corrector and powder
–Full coverage
–Minimal creasing

Cons
–Availability
–Shade range

Final Thoughts
I love the price and the coverage, but the shade range is total CRAP. The lightest shade is a little too dark for me. I mixed a little Magic Star concealer in to brighten and make it work. It does not cover tattoos so if that’s important to you, keep looking. There’s no shade match for me, but I do like the formula so it’s not a total flop.

Scent Selection–4 (original, coconut, rose, lavender)

Pros–Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested :: LOVE the original scent :: works with powder products to intensify color payoff :: settles powder look & fuses with skin for a more natural look :: good ingredients :: hydration for dry skin

Cons–Expensive :: Not cruelty free :: Mister/spray can be heavy sometimes :: accessibility

Final Thoughts–MAC Fix+ is the answer to almost all problems…dry skin, shadows that aren’t pigmented enough, powder that got cakey, a broken arm, etc. I’ts a must have for me and I product I use daily. I even keep a mini bottle in my desk drawer at work. I’ve gone through so many bottles of this and continue to repurchase it.

ESSENCE KEEP IT PERFECT! MAKEUP FIXING SPRAY

Claims–Acts as a protective layer & prolongs the wear of your makeup :: not sticky

Price–$4.99 at essencemakeup.com for 1.69 oz

Pros–Affordable :: small, compact bottle :: cruelty free :: vegan :: good mister :: settles powder :: works well with my dry skin :: perfect finishing step for makeup :: works with powder products to intensify color payoff

Cons–Availability/accessibility, online only!

Final Thoughts–This is the perfect last step to settle and set everything for a less powdery look. Great to use as a refresher throughout the day as well.

These products are total dupes. They have similar ingredients and do the same thing. The only major difference is the price, obviously. There’s just something about Fix+ that draws me in. I’ve used and repurchased both of these. The Essence is a great, budget friendly option, but if you want to splurge, give the MAC a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in either one.

My (Current) Skincare Routine

The last post of skincare week is my skincare routine. In case you haven’t noticed, I love skincare and trying new things so my skincare routine is always changing. Here is a round up of the products I’m currently using.

I have two vanities/sinks in my bathroom and since I have it all to myself, I use one for makeup and one for skincare and hair. I have some of my skin on this spinning tower thing and the rest of it in the Instagram famous mini refrigerator. Let me be the first to tell you that putting your eye cream, sheet masks, oils, and moisturizers in the refrigerator will change your life. The products feel so good going on my skin. I refuse to use room temperature products ever again. It’s $20 well spent. Also, I like the spinning tower thing, but I kind of want to upgrade to this one.

AM PRODUCTS

  1. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Micellar Water–I don’t wash my face, I just use a little of this on a cotton round.
  2. It Cosmetics Confidence In A Gel Moisturizer–Hydrating, absorbs quickly, makes my skin feel so soft & smooth, anti-aging, here for all of it.
  3. Origins Gin-Zing Eye Cream–I don’t use an eye cream every morning. Honestly, I forget half the time, but if I do, this is my favorite. It’s hydrating and brightening.
  4. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion–SPF is necessary, end of story. I love the scent, feel, and hydration of this one. I just ordered this one to try out too.

PM PRODUCTS

  1. Makeup Remover
  2. Cleanser
  3. Tone
  4. Serum
  5. Eye Cream
  6. Moisturizer + Facial Oil
    • It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness + Rose Hip Oil–I’ve been mixing a few drops of rose hip oil in with my moisturizer for an added bit of hydration. I linked the Rose Hip Oil that I use, I got mine at TJ Maxx.

That’s a wrap on skincare week, I hope y’all liked it and maybe learned something. Back to regularly scheduled posts next week!
