Foundation Friday: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Liquid Makeup

I wore this foundation in high school and college and then they changed the shade range and there was no longer a shade match for me. I wore “Shell” forever, but the “Shell” of today is HELLA dark.

Once I got into makeup and started following blogs and watching YouTube, so many people raved about this foundation. I’m over like, “I KNOW IT’S GOOD. I USED IT BEFORE YOU!” I was salty.

Estee Lauder came to their senses and expanded the shade range and when I saw there was one for me, I couldn’t add to my cart fast enough.

Final Thoughts
There’s a reason this foundation has a cult following and is loved by so many. It is full coverage and will last all.day.long. I definitely need to get the pump, otherwise it pours out and there is potential to waste product and it’s too expensive for that to happen. I have to moisturize, use a glowy/hydrating primer, and use a hydrating spray to make this work for my dry skin, but the end result is worth it. If I don’t hydrate properly, it will look like crap on my dry skin. I also like to mix this with other foundations for a little extra coverage and wear time. I usually wear something lighter for day to day, but I like this for special occasions and long days. I am so glad this foundation is back in my life.

Estee Lauder recently came out with Double Wear Light Soft Matte Hydra Makeup and I want to try it, but there isn’t a shade for me. I need them to expand that line and help a sister out.

Warning my fair looks fabulous like crap in these photos. I’m lazy. Sorry not sorry.
