One of my goals for 2018 is to read more. I have so many books on my Kindle and hard copy books that I need to read.
I LOVE to read, but I go in phases with it. I either read several books in a small amount of time or I don’t pick one up for months. I want to be more diligent about setting aside time to read each night. It’s a stress reliever and a good way to unwind before bed.
I love all kinds of books but I’ve really been into non-fiction for a while. My interests vary from hot topics to self-help to political and reality TV.
Fun Fact: I asked for Barack Obama’s The Audacity of Hope for Christmas when I was 15 after I saw him on Oprah’s show. I was really intrigued by this young Illinois Senator. Who would have known then that he would become POTUS?

I would link all these, but I’m too lazy for that and I know y’all are capable of using Amazon/Google.
If I start reading a book and I don’t like it, I don’t make myself finish it. If I’m not into after a few chapters, it’s just not meant to be.
Whenever I hear/see a book that I want to read, I immediately add it to my Kindle Wish List. Every few weeks, I go check my Wish List, arrange it from low to high, and purchase a few books off there that have gone on sale. I RARELY buy a book when it releases because it’s so expensive. Kindle books go on sale all the time, sometimes for as little as $1.99, and that’s when I scoop them up.
I read on the Kindle app on my iPad because I used to have a Kindle and that’s where most of my books are but I have checked out iBooks, but I’ll probably stick with the Kindle app.
If you have any favorites that I need to add to my list, let me know!
